Sending Orders By Post
If you have some 35mm colour negative films, disposable cameras, APS films or digital media the procedure to get them to us is very straightforward. There is an order form on the top right of the website for you to download and print for either films and disposable cameras or prints from digital images. If you don't have a printer a hand written note is fine. Just fill in your contact details and tick the boxes for the services you require, plus the payment and return postage options. Please note single First and Second Class letter stamps are for items no thicker than 5mm so will not be enough when sending films due to the thickness of the package. We do NOT develop standard B&W films.
Put your films or digital media with the order form or letter into strong packaging (thin paper envelopes can easily tear in transit) making sure it is well sealed, and send to
Photo Express, PO BOX 559, HULL, HU9 9JX.
(Please note: the above address is for items sent using Royal Mail. If sending via courier service please send to Photo Express, 163 Chanterlands Avenue, Hull, HU5 3TL).
Paying by Cheque
Simply check the price list for the items you are sending and make cheques payable to Photo Express. Remember to include the return postage with your remittance, minimum order value including p&p is £5.00.
Paying by Debit/Credit Card
Tick the box at the bottom of the order form, we will then call you when your order is complete and take your card details. Data is not stored electronically and all written information is commercially shredded. We do not accept PayPal.
Postage & Packing/Turnaround Times
For orders returned by standard First Class post, the cost is £2.00 per order (not per film). If you would prefer Recorded Delivery, the cost is £3.50 per order, or Royal Mail Special Delivery (tracked and guaranteed next day delivery) the cost is £8.00.
Virtually all work is completed and dispatched within 24 hours of us receiving it, Monday to Saturday. However, there are currently some delays in Royal Mail so it may take a few days longer for your package to arrive here, or back with you when complete. Orders are stored on our hard drive for approximately one week before being automatically deleted so if you haven't received your order back within 5 working days of completion please contact us so that we can lock the order and re print/scan if required.
Things to check before posting!
Is the writing on the form/letter clear?
Is the telephone number correct?
Is the return address correct?
If paying by cheque, have you signed it?
If paying by cheque, make sure you put it in the envelope!
If wanting to pay by debit/credit card and have a specific time slot for us to call, please write on the form - we normally call between 9.00 and 12.00 to ensure orders are posted out that day.
If paying by cheque, please make sure you include the payment for return postage.
Please make sure your envelope is strong enough and secure enough to get to us intact. Your package is handled at Royal Mail by automated sorting equipment and thin or unsecure packages may get damaged.
If sending films, please make sure you put enough postage on the envelope. Individual standard First and Second Class stamps are for letters no thicker than 5mm, using just one of these stamps will guarantee delays, and excess charges from Royal Mail. The thickness of the package usually means it will be classed as a Small Packet.
